Poets help us to see beauty and mystery that we might otherwise walk right by without noticing. They do the work of exploring and articulating feelings and experiences which so often open our own hearts to depths of feeling which we could not find the words to express. Poet Baron Wormser offers these words of reflection for us this Monday morning…
“We would seem to be at a mythic moment where we might see ourselves in the mirror and see whether we want to go on in the same fashion or whether we might slow down, recognize the deep harmonies that sustain us and consider the wisdom of simplicity as we go about our purposeful days.“
May the simplicity of kindness, compassion, equity, inclusivity, and respect be our template for this day and all our days to come.
