Congratulations to our August Impact Award winner, Christine Petitti, administrative assistant for Innovation & Community, Care Support Services and Volunteer Services at Empath Health.
Petitti joined the organization in 2005. She provides administrative support to two vice presidents and the director of volunteer services. In recent months, she took on the task of overseeing personal protective equipment supplies for the organization.
“I feel everyone here really cares for our patients, families, and participants no matter what position we are in.” says Petitti. “That is the best part of working here.”
The monthly Impact Award recognizes and celebrates staff for their positive impact on others, demonstration of our values and above-and-beyond service.
Here is an excerpt from Petitti’s nomination:
During the past few months I’ve been impressed how Christine has provided exceptional service. She is a key player for the agency to assure our staff and those we serve are safe through the pandemic by helping with the “COVID Closet,” a storage area for personal protective equipment (PPE) supplies.
The COVID Closet had many changes as the months passed. To date, it has grown six times its original size. Supplies were added and some supplies come in multiple sizes and styles. We changed the tracking program to accommodate. Christine accepted the challenge of additional work during this extraordinary time by taking ownership of the COVID Closet. She provided ideas, tools, support and lead the inventory control/distribution function. Her support allowed our team to concentrate on procuring the supplies.
With many staff working from home, our environment became isolated. Christine was always present and available to help. She cares about our staff by providing extra follow up to assure PPE supplies are received timely and takes extra steps to label masks for each staff member when sending an order to a team.
Christine helped create and update spreadsheets to track PPE supplies from the COVID Closet to Care Centers and tracking for Hospice Care funds. She is an excellent team player. She sees a need and works with the team to fill it.
Christine makes my work day enjoyable! She is a team member that can be trusted, is reliable and is working toward the same goal of providing supplies to those that need them. Every day, I thank Christine for her help and support.
