The stories that we hear from our patients, clients and participants teach us over and over again that our life circumstances can change quickly, substantially, and without warning. Some of us have our own personal stories of unexpected challenges which have caught us off guard and taxed our capacity to cope. Author, Carolyn Moore writes, “And If this isn’t a day when your universe has tilted and something precious you take for granted has not been suddenly irrevocably lost, bow before the mystery of life, health, and this brief walk on our fragile planet.”
May we be mindful and supportive of those in our midst whose universe has tilted and be a soft place to land, a source of grace and understanding.
