There is an old saying from India that is a favorite of mine. It goes like this:

When you are born, you cry and the world rejoices
Live your life in such a way that when you die
The world cries and you rejoice.

Contained in this short but impactful verse there is a recognition of the joy of new life, an acknowledgment of the inevitability of our death, and an admonishment to ensure that what we do between those two dates is something that impacts people positively, something about which we can feel proud and satisfied. A lot packed into three short lines. It begs the question – what does that look like for me? Am I living my life today in such a way that this verse would be true if I were to die?

May we create for ourselves a clear vision of a value-driven life and choose to live that life every day!

Have a great week, everyone!
