We are heading into a holiday season filled with excitement and plans, and for many, days with sacred meaning. Sometime around the middle of November or the beginning of December, we feel the pace picking up and the stress level rising. We want everything to go perfectly – and it never does. We want family and friends to always get along and enjoy the time together – sometimes there is conflict. And for many of us, this time of year brings to mind the absence of a loved one who’s physical absence will be keenly felt.

So, let’s be kind to ourselves. Let’s let go of our expectations of perfection and embrace the moments as they unfold. Let’s refuse to let the hustle and bustle rob us of the joy and meaning of this time. Let’s cherish our loved ones and give of ourselves generously and be intentional about truly being present for all of the once-a-year moments that we will experience.

Wishing all of you a wonderful holiday season! Have a great week, everyone!
