We can make a difference today. We can choose not to “dial it in” but to engage the work before us with enthusiasm and dedication to excellence. We can choose not to allow the ever-present draw of our own personal concerns to blind us to the needs of those around us. We can choose to treat people with kindness and respect. We can bring laughter and levity into the environment. We can see and appreciate the beauty and blessing that surrounds us and fills us. You see, it may not be possible for us to fix everything that is wrong with the world. But we can always choose to do the very best we can with the circumstances and resources we find ourselves in. Yes, even on a Monday – we can do it!
May we choose to live this day in such a way that when we lay our heads on our pillow tonight, we smile and drift off into peaceful sleep.
