Ann Watson, HR Analyst for Empath Health

Congratulations to our December Impact Award winner, Ann Watson, human resources analyst for Empath Health.

Watson joined the organization in 2006. She supports the technical function of the Human Resources department in the areas of compensation and the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This involves overseeing anything that relates to employee salaries and managing all of the data in the HR system.

“I enjoy the technical aspect of keeping the HR database running and up-to-date,” says Watson. “It’s also very rewarding to assist employees with questions about their pay, performance appraisal completion and any other related concerns they may have.”

The monthly Impact Award recognizes and celebrates staff for their positive impact on others, demonstration of our values and above-and-beyond service.

Here is an excerpt from Watson’s nomination:

I am nominating Ann Watson, HR Analyst, for this month’s Impact Award. I have had the pleasure of working with and sitting next to Ann for the last 14 years.

As a long-time member of the Human Resources department, Ann provides service to all employees of Empath Health by overseeing the organization’s compensation program and HRIS.

At the end of every year, Ann works tirelessly, mostly unnoticed, to make sure all employee performance appraisals are completed and processed so everyone can receive their pay increases. She works through technical snafus, calmly walking managers and employees through the steps necessary to get their reviews completed. Often her customers are frustrated, but Ann provides a healing presence by maintaining her sense of humor and will go the extra mile to make it easy on busy employees out in the field. Throughout the year, Ann serves as HR’s technical expert for Vista self-service and takes care of all behind the scenes data issues that ensure accuracy in all day-to-day HR operations with an attention to detail that is second to none.  Empath Health is fortunate to have Ann overseeing these important functions.
