Congratulations to our December Impact award winner, Tony Tace, a maintenance technician.
Tace joined the organization in 2015 and has spent the last three and a half years providing service to the Suncoast Hospice Care Center Mid-Pinellas. He responds to any maintenance concerns that may arise, as well as routine needs and special projects.
“My background is in construction. Repairing things and finding low-cost solutions make me happy,” shares Tace. “It feels good to know you’ve done something to help patients feel more comfortable.”
The monthly Impact Award recognizes and celebrates staff for their positive impact on others, demonstration of our values and above-and-beyond service.
Here are words about Tace from his nomination:
“Tony T. consistently provides service that is ‘above and beyond’. Day in and day out he takes the initiative to get things done. Tony is usually the first one to respond when he becomes aware of a need.
He has found many creative ways to save the agency money. We are installing new wall mounted TVs and removing the large armoires from patient rooms at the Care Center. Tony recommended that we modify the armoire rather than purchase new storage cabinets. With his carpentry skills, he has created beautiful cabinets that will serve our needs for years to come, all at no cost.
When he became aware of a large project that included a lot of carpentry at the Clearwater Service Center, he volunteered to go and work there on that project to assist Marc and the other maintenance guys.
Tony is a respected and valued member of the Maintenance Team.”
