How does it feel to be in the final week of 2021? If you are like me, it seems like the year whizzed by! Several members of my family have an app on their phone called “Collect”. It is basically a calendar where they save a picture for each day of the year and write a sentence or two about the day. Then, at any time you can go back and review your pictures. This comes in handy particularly at the end of the year when you can scroll through and have a pictorial representation of some of the significant moments and experiences of your year. Even if you don’t have this app, though, this is a good time to reflect on 2021 and some of the memories that you created, hard times you endured, accomplishments you celebrated, relationships you deepened, personal goals you achieved, and so on. As they say, “Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.”

May we live forward into the new year having gleaned wisdom and understanding from our past.

Have a great New Year, everyone!
