EPIC (Empath Partners in Care) is a member of Empath Health, a nonprofit integrated network of care supporting those challenged by chronic and advanced illness in the Tampa Bay region. EPIC's purpose is to improve the lives of individuals, families and communities, regardless of HIV status, gender or sexual identity, by addressing the social determinants of health.

What kinds of services are included in HIV and sexual health care at Empath Health?
Empath Health offers comprehensive services through our EPIC (Empath Partners in Care) program, including HIV testing and treatment, PrEP and PEP access, STI testing and treatment, sexual health education, behavioral health counseling, case management, and medication assistance. We also offer mobile outreach units that bring testing, prevention tools, and education directly into communities.

Who can access these services?
Our services are open to anyone in the community — regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, or income. We welcome people living with HIV, those at risk of exposure, and anyone seeking confidential, respectful care and education about sexual health.
How are these services funded, and what do they cost?
Many of our services are low- or no-cost. We accept a range of insurance plans and offer support for those who are uninsured or underinsured. Generous donors and community fundraising events help us keep care accessible, and partnerships — like our collaboration with Freddie — expand access to HIV prevention services statewide.
