Martha Lenderman Empath Board Memeber AAAPP Award

Martha Lenderman Honored with 2025 Sally Parks Outstanding Humanitarian Award

The Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas (AAAPP) has named Martha Lenderman, longtime advocate and former President of the Suncoast Hospice Board of Directors, as the recipient of the 2025 Sally Parks Outstanding Humanitarian Award. The award was presented during the AAAPP Annual Luncheon on November 6, 2025 at Countryside Country Club in Clearwater.

In addition to her decades of community leadership, Martha continues to serve on the Suncoast Hospice Board of Directors, the Empath Complete Care Division Board of Directors, and the Empath Hospice Division Board of Directors, and she currently chairs the Empath Home Health Division Board of Directors.

A lifelong Florida resident, Martha has spent decades working to improve care and quality of life for seniors, families, and individuals facing mental health challenges. She has served on the AAAPP Board for more than 24 years, including as President, and on the Suncoast Hospice Board for 29 years. Her distinguished career includes leadership with the Department of Children and Families and the Pinellas-Pasco District Mental Health Board, as well as a pioneering role in advancing Florida's Baker Act legislation.

Martha's service extends well beyond her professional life. She has volunteered for nearly 25 years with the American Red Cross and remains active with organizations such as 211 Tampa Bay Cares/First Contact.
