Tidewell Treasures, a resale shop benefiting the Tidewell Foundation in its support of Tidewell Hospice, is officially opening its new Sarasota location Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 2 p.m. The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and light refreshments will be served.
The new Tidewell Treasures shop is located at 5441 Palmer Crossing Circle on Clark Road in Sarasota. The shop features 11,000 square feet to accommodate home decor, household goods, name-brand furniture and clothing, accessories, and more. Volunteers are the heart of Tidewell Treasures resale shops. In 2021, 150 volunteers worked in support of Tidewell Treasures locations in Venice at the first location established.
“We are very excited to welcome the community into our newest Tidewell Treasures location,” said Debbie Mason, President of the Tidewell Foundation. “This new store in Sarasota offers plenty of space for us to get creative and expand our resale shopping experience for our customers, with proceeds supporting the critically needed services that Tidewell Hospice provides in the Sarasota region.”
Proceeds from all items sold at Tidewell Treasures go to the Tidewell Foundation, which helps Tidewell Hospice provide charity care and world-class services for more than 10,000 patients, as well as free grief services for more than 8,000 clients throughout Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee and Sarasota counties. Sales from Tidewell Treasures shops support grants that sustain and expand programs to provide charity hospice care, free grief support services, specialized veterans care, and additional services such as music therapy and telehealth.
