The celebration of Black women in history is often overlooked and rarely acknowledged. However, following the Woodson African American Museum of Florida’s mission, the museum not only celebrates but has elevated the accomplishments of Black women annually since 2014 when hosting the inaugural First Ladies in African American History event. Among those honored was Empath Health Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Karen Davis-Pritchett, MEd. Read about all the trailblazing women honored this year in the Weekly Challenger.
