Charles D. Johnson, Chief Mission Colleague Officer

Lakewood Ranch and Clearwater – Empath Health announces Charles D. Johnson, SPHR, SCP, has joined the not-for-profit healthcare organization as its Chief Mission Colleague Officer. In this role Johnson will be responsible for developing and executing strategies surrounding the organization’s human capital – its colleagues. This includes talent acquisition and management, succession planning, change management, compensation and benefits, training and workforce development.

Most recently he was Vice President and Chief Human  Resources Officer at Crozer Health System in Springfield, Pa. where he was responsible for the daily human resources operations, labor relations, compensation and benefits and the diversity and inclusion operations for the organization. Johnson received his Master of Public Administration in Human Resources Management from Florida International University in Miami and attended Executive Human Resources programs at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business and Cornell University School of Industrial & Labor Relations.
