My wife and I were going someplace the other day and when we got in the car she said, “Let’s roll down the windows and not run the air-conditioning. It’ll save on gas.” I think we have all been doing what we can to conserve gas, especially while prices are so high. It has become a precious and costly resource.

The same can be said for our vital energy. Our capacity for hope, enthusiasm, and joy; our ability to focus on the needs of others and be kind and generous. That vital energy is a precious internal resource that must be replenished constantly or we find ourselves “running on empty.” So, take a moment right now to identify five things that “fill your tank.”

Now, make sure that you have incorporated some of those activities into this week. Remember – self-care isn’t selfish; it’s what we need to survive and thrive!

Have a great week, everyone!
