Our minds need training. Left to its own devices, the mind will race around, flitting from one thing to another; demanding our attention with the insistence of a braying donkey or an untrained puppy. Ever wanted more than anything to go to sleep but you can’t get your mind to quiet down and let you sleep? Ever try to focus on a task but couldn’t stop thinking about something else? Unless we exercise some discipline, the mind can end up causing quite a mess for us.

With practice, we can train our minds to slow down and focus on one thing at a time. We can even learn to quiet our thoughts and enjoy a little peace. With a slowed down and single-pointed mind, we see the world in a whole different light. We see each other in a whole different light.  Try this week to take charge of your mind. It just might change your perspective.

Have a great week, everyone!
