Practicing presence is a daily discipline. We naturally slip into thinking mode, which is a kind of virtual reality that separates us from the present moment. Yet, it is only when we are embodied and present to this moment that we open ourselves to life. Eckhart Tolle puts it this way,
“Time isn’t precious at all, because it is an illusion. What you perceive as precious is not time but the one point that is out of time: the Now. That is precious indeed. The more you are focused on time—past and future—the more you miss the Now, the most precious thing there is.”
May we be present to our Very Precious Now today.
Have a great week, everyone!
Jim
