There are times when the landscape of our lives may seem dull and lifeless. When we feel like we are “just going through the motions.” This quote from Parker J. Palmer fills us with hope and anticipation.

“There is a hard truth to be told: before spring becomes beautiful, it is plug-ugly, nothing but mud and muck. I have walked in the early spring through fields that will suck your boots off, a world so wet and woeful it makes you yearn for the return of ice.”

But in that muddy mess, the conditions for rebirth are being created. Who knows what new and precious expressions of life are growing just under the surface ready to burst forth any minute.”

Hang in there! Sometimes we have to wade through a little mud to grow a beautiful garden.

Have a great week, everyone!
