If you’re like me, you love a fantastic thrift shop buy. From a Pier One plate set to an Ann Taylor Loft lime green sweater to a pair of crystal lamps, I’ve scored all of these beauties at our Suncoast Hospice Resale Shops.

When you choose to shop, donate or volunteer at our resale shops, you help support our mission of care at Suncoast Hospice and our larger Empath Health network. All donations and purchases help us provide care for those who can’t afford it and clothing, household and other items from the stores may be given to those in need.

As this new year begins, now might be the perfect time to reorganize your home and donate to our stores or put your tax refunds to good use and shop with us. We’re open in Countryside, Clearwater and St. Petersburg six days a week, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., year-round.

You’ll find amazing deals on everything you need to redecorate, DIY or update your style. New items come in every day, including indoor and outdoor furniture, kitchenware, holiday décor, paintings, business and casual attire, sporting goods, jewelry, shoes, kids clothing and lots more.

Every month we offer even more opportunities for you to save. There are Mondays 50% off clothing, Wednesdays 25% off entire purchase for seniors, every day 25% off entire purchase for military with valid ID, holiday and mystery sales and many other discounts.

Be sure to get your tickets now for our 25th annual Suncoast Hospice Fashion Show, Luncheon and Boutique on March 17 at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor. Come enjoy fine dining, runway entertainment and shopping a wide selection of high-end fashions and accessories that are hand-picked throughout the year.

Volunteers Needed

We rely almost exclusively on volunteers to keep our stores running and provide exceptional customer service. Adults, teens and business or community groups are needed to volunteer and assist in many ways, including:

• Schedule donation pick-ups
• Take donations at the back doors
• Sort, price and put out merchandise
• Design displays
• Ring sales
• Organize dressing rooms
• More

One new role we’re looking to fill is a driver assistant for our Countryside location. This includes:

• Ride-along with the resale shop driver to pick up donations and deliver to the store
• Ability to lift items
• Comfortable using hand trucks and dollies
• Two shifts available from 8 a.m. to noon or 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Start and end shift at the store

Our volunteers provide support, have fun and make a difference. Free training is provided.
