Practicing gratitude can shift our perspective and help us feel calmer, achieve more clarity and increase our ability to see and truly enjoy “the small things.”
This morning I wrote down the first things that came to mind that bring me joy or a sense of accomplishment.
Seeing someone I love burst out laughing, the taste of a ripe mango, the way the world looks moments before twilight, music that moves me, the sense of accomplishment when I face down a difficult task, feeling connected to that expansive and peaceful center when I finally quiet my busy mind for a few moments. The feeling of gratitude. What would you put on your list?
